From May 27th to 29th, an inspection expert panel led by Professor Xu Lei, appointed by the National Board of Architectural Education of Higher Education Institutions, visited our university to conduct an inspection of the Architecture program. University Party Secretary Ding Jianning met with all members of the expert panel. President Liu Qiaoquan attended the inspection initiation meeting and the report feedback meeting, delivering important speeches. Vice President Wang Chengtong presided over the related activities.

The inspection team successively examined the teaching facilities related to the Architecture program, observed excellent assignments from various grades and the architectural model exhibition, listened to presentations by core course teachers about their courses, reviewed teaching management documents, design assignment from the past five years, and graduation design outcomes. They also conducted interviews with professional course teachers, general course teachers, current students, employer representatives, and alumni representatives, gaining a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the Architecture program's development and student cultivation. The expert panel fully affirmed the program's educational philosophy and objectives, student quality and mental outlook, teaching quality monitoring and management, and the effectiveness of rectifications based on the previous assessment cycle's feedback. They also provided valuable suggestions regarding faculty team building, specialized teaching reform, and improvement of support conditions.

At the inspection report feedback meeting, Liu Qiaoquan, on behalf of the university, expressed sincere gratitude to the expert panel for their hard work and careful guidance. Liu Qiaoquan stated that the university will take this assessment as an opportunity to thoroughly implement the concepts and requirements of professional assessment, and to solidly carry out rectification and implementation. The university will continuously advance education and teaching reforms, deeply study and judge the new opportunities and ideas arising from national major strategies and industry development, scientifically optimize the 2025 edition talent cultivation plan, strive to strengthen the faculty team construction, continuously improve the educational environment, comprehensively enhance program characteristics and education quality, and effectively promote the high-quality development of the Architecture program.

At the feedback meeting, inspection team member He Zhifang, Vice Supervisor of the Architectural Society of China and former First-Level Inspector of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development Personnel Department, combining the work objectives and plans of the national Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development regarding urban renewal and the construction of "good houses," put forward guiding opinions on the current and future construction and development of architecture and other civil engineering and architectural disciplines.

Relevant responsible persons from the Party Committee Office, University Administration Office, Academic Affairs Office, Office of Science and Technology, Office of Social Sciences, Human Resources Office, International Office, Student Affairs Office, Finance Office, Equipment Office, University Youth League Committee, Admissions Office, Career Center, Teaching Evaluation Center, Library, and other units, along with all college leadership, the Architecture program head, heads of departments (divisions), and teacher and student representatives participated in the related activities.
