On October 25th, at the 4th International Academic Conference on Frontier Transportation Engineering (FTTE 2025), the international journal Digital Transportation and Safety, jointly with the conference organizing committee, officially announced the selected list for the 2025 "Future Star in Transportation Frontiers" Cultivation Program. Our college's master's student Li Jingyuan was successfully selected, becoming one of the 100 global awardees for the year and the only student from Yangzhou University to receive this honor.

During her master's degree studies, under the careful guidance of her supervisor, Teacher Ou Jishun, Li Jingyuan has focused on the evolution mechanism of traffic congestion in complex urban road networks, actively engaged in scientific research, demonstrating a solid academic foundation and outstanding innovative potential, and has achieved multiple research results: published 1 paper in Digital Transportation and Safety, a joint initiator journal of the "Future Star" Cultivation Program, plus 1 SCI paper and 1 EI paper; applied for 1 national invention patent; and won the second prize in the Jiangsu Province College Student Transportation Science and Technology Competition (Postgraduate Track).

The "Future Star in Transportation Frontiers" Cultivation Program aims to select outstanding undergraduates and postgraduates with the most innovative potential from the source, providing them with top-tier mentor resources, high-level scientific research platforms, and personalized growth paths. In recent years, the college has actively responded to the national "Transportation Power" strategy, continuously strengthened the construction of the transportation discipline, and actively fostered a strong atmosphere for academic innovation through a "project-driven + frontier-guided" training mechanism. Simultaneously, it emphasizes teaching students according to their aptitude, encouraging students to focus on academic frontiers and major engineering needs to conduct exploratory research, providing solid guarantees for the growth of top-notch innovative talents. This selection is a vivid case of our college deepening postgraduate education reform, practicing the concept of scientific research educating people, and promoting the cultivation of integrated undergraduate-postgraduate scientific research capabilities. It fully reflects the steady improvement in the talent cultivation quality and international influence of the transportation engineering discipline. Looking forward, the college will further optimize the high-level innovative talent training system, inspire young students to courageously scale academic heights, and continuously contribute "Yangzhou University's strength" to serving national strategies and regional economic and social development.
